mommy's Story
Carly,Stephanie,Tony,Vincent
6/11/2003
at 5am in the morning, I woke up with a slight contraction. I woke up my hubby. Since it was a slight contraction, we decided to do our usual chores. Then my water broke. Then at 7am it got more stronger. It got really hard because I had quadruplets! But my midwife and my hubby said it was okay. I called my midwife, since my contractions were 5minutes apart and she was a hour away. I tried the tub. I t was really good. I lighted a few candles and turned the light off. Then i got out, to go to bed to deliver. I liked the lying-flat-on-your-back position. Then my midwife arrived. she checked me and said i was ready to push! So, I pushed like hell. my labor wasn't that long, My pushing was really really really hard. I pushed for like 1hour and a half and Carly was starting to be seen! I pushed with screams and put my hands on my perineum because of the pressure. It really hurt because the babies' heads were much bigger than the average. I relaxed than it went up again! So I pushed again and and Carly crowned and was out. I nursed her and midwife cut the cord. Then i focused on my second baby, Steph. She had a VERY VERY big head and was very diffilcult. I screamed and pushed. and she crowned! but i took a drink, and she went all the way up the birth canal again. So I had to push Steph out for 3 hours! Then she crowned and had shoudler dystocia. I did the Gaskin Maneauer and she was out! I nursed her and midwife cut the cord. Tony was breech and he was not that diffilcult but of his big body. Vincent took like 7 hours, because of the following-big head&body, shoulder dystocia, etc. I was hard but I was filled with Joy.
