I am Rebecca's fiance typing this up as she wished to deliver her baby live on line and i type up what is happening.

At the moment she is 9 1/2 centimetres dilated so will type up what is going on.

She is having a water birth and says contractions are easier to deal with. This is our second child. We have a girl named Jessica.

The midwife is checking her over and urging Becs not to push as the baby isnt quite ready. Becs really wants to push and i can see the pain she is in.

5 mins later...

Rebecca has been told it is ok to push now. She is. PUSHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. "Good one" says the midwife. "push again, come on now bigggg push, you can do it". PUSH PUSH. "I cant do it its too hard". "Come on Becs think of the prize at the end, a baby just for you and me" i say. She pushes again but baby isnt shifting as she isnt pushing hard enough. She has been in labour since late last night and is really tired. Our child Jessica is at her grans. We sent her there once labour picked up a bit. " i am going to need you to hold your legs up for me now and push really hard as baby needs to come out asap". Rebecca does as she is told and is beginning to push, just building up to it. "AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH". This is hard you can tell. She pushes again and babies head is moving slowly. Becs tries again and i can see my babies head moving down the birth channel and out to meet the world. "keep going Becs you are doing so well its fantastic". One last big push-"ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh" and baby is born.

10 mins later...
Im sooo happy and we are going to call him Justin. Thanks for reading and will keep you updated. Rebecca says thanks for listening and sharing this experience with her.
