Project of the Month

Crystallized Flowers

  1. Cut the stem clos to the base of the flower
  2. Dilute some powdered egg white
  3. Hold the Blossom with the tweezers
  4. Using the paint brush ligtly coat all surfaces area of the flower with the water/egg white mixture
  5. Sprinkle sugar on wet flower
  6. Place the blossoms face up on the wax paper lined cookie sheet
  7. Place the tray in a warm, dry area for 2-4 days until the flowers are crisp
  8. Check flowers everyday for moisture formation and turn as needed to dry all surfaces of the flower
  9. These make great cake decorations
  10. Storage Life - 1-2 Months stored in a Dry area.

CAUTION - When preparing foods always use sanitized utensils and containers.
